Arun Nua
Arun Nua is family-run equestrian centre set on a fully certified, organic farm spanning 160 acres at the edge of the magnificent Burren Mountains and nature preserve Burren.
Located just 3 miles from the scenic coastal village of Kinvara, Co.Galway, Arun Nua provides an equestrian experience like no other: kilometres of quiet lanes, cross-country treks and a well-appointed outdoor arena offer panoramic views of the Burren, making Arun Nua the perfect place for a relaxed hack or riding lesson.
Approximately 30 minutes from Galway city, and easily accessed via the market towns of Kinvara or Gort, Arun Nua offers top class riding instruction to adults and children of all skill levels. The friendly staff at Arun Nua offer training in jumping, flat work & dressage, and welcome visitors of all ages and experience.
Groups may ride across 160 acres of natural cross country obstacles as well as in an outdoor arena (50 metres x 30 metres). Excellent livery facilities are available (details upon request) and Summer Camps are also offered during the school holidays for children aged six and up. For those interested in a riding holiday or weekend riding break, accommodation can be easily organised locally. Run by Matt & Julie Randall, Arun Nua provides relaxed atmosphere that addresses individual needs, while championing the ideals of Intelligent Horsemanship.
Founded by Kelly Marks with the blessing of her mentor "Horse Whisperer" Monty Roberts, Intelligent Horsemanship is dedicated to bringing the best horsemanship ideas together from around the world in an effort to promote understanding and fair treatment of horses at every opportunity. Using established principles of psychology and equine behaviour together with years of experience this way of training has become increasingly popular. Sympathetic to both horses and people, Intelligent Horsemanship has helped horses and horse owners achieve a better understanding and achieve their full potential all around the world.
